Photography for a humanist wedding at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh and Apex International Hotel

I love Scotland for its beauty, and for wedding photography Edinburgh Botanic Gardens is a special location for taking great wedding photos with lots of colour and landscaped textures to play with. It is a pleasure to photograph weddings anywhere across Scotland but for the bride and groom getting married in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh it’s certainly an emotional place for everybody attending because of its awe inspiring beauty.

Contemporary wedding photography at Wedderburn Castle in the Scottish Borders

For wedding photography Edinburgh is home to many photographers including Keystone Photography, the wedding photography specialists. We photograph weddings throughout Scotland from way up the Scottish Highlands to the foot of the Scottish Borders. Wedderburn Castle near Duns, Berwickshire, is a country house in the Scottish Borders where Keystone Photography has photographed a number of weddings over the years. Couples can get married indoors in one of their many licensed rooms or weather permitting your wedding ceremony can be held outside on the Castle lawn (yes Scotland is privy to good climate!). As a contemporary wedding photographer I’m spoilt for choice at Wedderburn Castle.

Creative reportage wedding photography at the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh

When it comes to wedding photography Edinburgh is home to some of the most exciting venues in Scotland. As a wedding venue the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh is one of those gems in the heart of the city that is breathtaking in its beauty and grandeur and at first glance is understated from the outside. Located on Queen Street opposite Queen Street Gardens (to which they have a key for outdoor photography on request) it also has an outdoor area in the heart of the building which is quite unusual and gives the photographer more choice to be creative.

Contemporary reportage Photographer for Edinburgh City Chambers wedding

As a professional reportage wedding photographer Edinburgh City Chambers on the Royal Mile is a great canvas for my contemporary style of wedding photography. The couple from London were looking for a wedding photographer with an all-inclusive package and entire day coverage, and this just happens to be my standard photography package. So they booked Keystone Photography long distance. I’m happy to say I get a lot of bookings this way based on the images on my website, my comprehensive package, and my professional correspondence with clients. Getting referrals from previous happy customers also plays a part of course!

Keystone Photography gets enquiries from all over the UK. Scotland as a whole is just stunning but for wedding photography Edinburgh and its surrounding areas are always a focal point for people who don’t live in Scotland. This particular couple were from England and were looking for creative and inspiring wedding photography that stood out from the rest. They obviously liked what they saw and happily booked Keystone Photography to photograph their offbeat wedding at The Atrium in Edinburgh. Once having met the couple we understood each others ideas and thoughts completely and built up an immediate rapport.

Wedding photographer in Edinburgh

Wedding photography at The Caledonian Hilton Edinburgh

As a professional reportage wedding photographer Edinburgh is a city that’s such a joy to photograph in and usually full of surprises. An amazing example of this was a winter wedding I photographed at the Caledonian Hilton on Princes Street last year. The photography was going well as always but was about to get even better.  Whilst the evening reception was being organised, the guests and I heard fireworks coming from right outside. It was a great fireworks display for St. Andrews day at Edinburgh Castle within arms reach.

Wedding photographer edinburgh

As a wedding photographer in Edinburgh it is a privilege to have one of the most beautiful backdrops in Scotland to have creative license with. The whole city is steeped in history and has many stunning beauty spots at every twist and turn that simply takes your breath away. Many of these places are hidden gems, and capturing the marriage of two people in these locations is a real joy. There are also the bridal guests to think of that get caught on camera too, and having dramatic surroundings to do this in reportage style is wonderfully fulfilling.
